Hi everybody!!
Let's get back to the classics...in my opinion, the 70's was the best decade fot the music ever....so many new groups, styles, mixtures...and as a result, we have a lot of master pieces from that age.
Apart from the songs of that decade, what makes the seventies such an important period for the music, is that there were a number of groups that were a reference for groups and singers some years later.
Maybe, one of the most important groups in terms of influence was The Velvet Underground. This group didn't publish many LPs, even they didn't sell too many records, but it was enough to make an important contribution for the history of music.
If ask singers and groups of the 70's, 80's and beyond for their influences, most of them will name The Velvet Underground. C'mon, even the name of the group is such an elegant one!
The have a couple of curious things, such as Andy Warhol being their manager or having a model (Nico) as main singer for their first album.
After that, Lou Reed (Take a Walk in the Wild Side) was the singer for the group, and for, among the others, this amazing song, one of the most elegant ever.
Please enjoy this jewel.
